Daphne Washington, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, BCPCC, BC-TMH
I am a life-long learner who seeks to further understand what contributes to mental disease and mental health, and I use my knowledge to both educate as well as encourage compassion for others. My own journey has also increased my desire to help others connect with quality counseling resources that will promote healing and wellness.
I am passionate about supporting counselors in being intentional in their professional development, self-care, and ethical accountability practices. I also enjoy serving counselors who have a desire to grow as multiculturally-competent counselors, as well as those who desire to integrate Christian faith and clinical practice.
I hope to support new professionals in staying in touch with both the gift that they have to give through their empathic presence, as well as the privilege it is to be given access to their clients' inner worlds. I hope that all counselors will see the importance of continuing to do their own inner work and engaging in counselor self-care as services to both themselves and their clients.
