Jennifer Schneider, LCSW

Jennifer Schneider, LCSW

I chose a career in this field because I wanted to assist individuals in need of support along their journeys. I wanted to work with marginalized populations and be a support to clients experiencing difficulty.

Supervision has been one of the favorite experiences of my work. I enjoy being able to provide support, training, and guidance to supervisees, and I believe it is important to give back to clinicians in training. I enjoy being able to help work through a complex clinical or ethical issue with a supervisee and see them gain confidence in his/her skills as a result.

I hope that new professionals find enjoyment in working within this field. I also hope that they may find the populations and modalities that best suit their interests, and that they may make a positive impact on whom they serve.

WORDS I LIVE BY:
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller
