Laura Walton, LMFT, CCTP, CATP
I chose to become a therapist because I experienced the death of two significant people in my life, and my experience with therapists I saw was that they were trying to "fix" a problem that was unfixable. I wanted to become a therapist to provide support and presence for people going through some of the most difficult times of their lives, without trying to rush them or change or move past their experience.
I supervise because I believe in providing support to and sharing my experience with those who come after me.
I hope new professionals take the opportunity to learn about themselves through their clients.
