Musenge Luchembe Hayslett, LMFT
I choose a career in psychotherapy as a result of my own healing journey and the curiosity that was evoked as I found various ways to integrate the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual parts of my being. I became passionate about learning different modalities such as somatic and ecotherapy to support my clients with experiencing their whole selves and embodying wellness.
As therapist, I feel called to witness and support the healing and transformation of both my clients and therapists in their journeys. During the 6 years it took to obtain my LPC-MHSP and LMFT, I had many supervisors to support me with navigating imposter syndrome, building a private practice, and finding my niche. I am honored to now be able to be in a position to support other therapists while keeping my practice and clinical skills sharp.
I hope new professionals will continue to advocate for their clients at all levels, including making policy changes at the government level. I hope they continue to develop a diverse community of therapists that support each other in what can be both a very challenging and rewarding field.
